Banana Walnut Overnight Oats |
Overnight oats are so convenient for busy mornings because you prepare them the night before and skip the breakfast stress in the morning! They boys, hubs included, eat a lot of warm oatmeal but I would rather they eat overnight oats because when you allow the oats to soak overnight, the phytic acid is broken down and greatly reduced.
Phytic acid is basically a naughty antioxidant that binds with the beneficial dietary minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium and magnesium which are all essential to healthy mind, body and teeth. So by soaking the oats, we are allowing our body to absorb some of the good stuff!
But plain overnight oats are boring! Today I bring you Banana Walnut Overnight Oats!
