Fudgy Brownies baked in Cast Iron |
The first time my sister-in-law tasted these brownies, she welcomed me into the family. I won her over with these brownies, so they have got to be great, right? So today I thought I would share the recipe with you!

Although the ones I fed her had Resse's Peanut Butter cups pressed into the top of the batter before baking, the recipe itself is the same! You could add chocolate chips, peanuts or walnuts. I bet macadamia nuts would also be amazing!

I love baking these Fudgy Brownies with my children each year to celebrate the Winter Solstice. We never make these any other time of the year because they are quite decadent so we leave it to the annual feast.
Are they healthy? Heck no! They have flour, gluten, lots of sugar and butter but, for the occasional celebration, they are a crowd pleaser!
Be sure to melt the butter completely before adding to the recipe to ensure they are evenly cooked.
